Double Take! Actors With Their Stunt Doubles

Being a stuntman (or stuntwoman) is an unusual job. Think about it – they do all the dangerous or unappealing jobs that the main actor either doesn’t want to or isn’t allowed to do. Sometimes it even means risking their lives. And then they don’t even get credit for it, other than their name scrolling by quickly on your screen in the end credits.

But stuntmen and women surely feel like that work is rewarding. At the end of the day, the movie wouldn’t work without these brave individuals! So let’s show them some well-deserved respect and see a few stunt doubles along with the main actors.

The Triple Threat

Bruce Willis has made a name for himself as one of the best action movie stars and became a real action icon, especially with his ‘Die Hard’ movies. While most actors in regular action movies will have one stunt double, leave it to Willis to have two. Basically, the more action involved in the movie, the more stunt doubles you’re going to need. So if you’re wondering which action movies are going to have the most dangerous explosions and building jumps, you can judge by how many stunt doubles are involved.

A Double Take of Fresh Prince

Will Smith may have been called the “most powerful actor in Hollywood” by Newsweek magazine in 2007, but that doesn’t mean he can do all of his stunts. Even Will needs his stunt doubles. As jacked as he may be, he needs to be careful. He has kids, remember? Here, Smith and his stunt double pose for a photo op while shooting ‘Collateral Beauty’ in 2016.

The Rock Keeps it in the Family

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson believes in keeping things in the family, as his stunt double seen here is actually his cousin, Tanoai Reed. And wow, do they look alike! They first worked together on the set of ‘The Scorpion King’ in 2002, and Reed has been his stunt double ever since. But you know what that means? That Reed has to keep up with a body that’s similar to The Rock’s! That’s no easy feat. No donuts for him.

Not One, But Two Pirates

The role of a stuntman should be taken seriously. I mean, they are the ones putting their lives on the line in those crazy action scenes that require real people. Take, for example, Tony Angelotti; Johnny Depp’s stunt double from the ‘Pirates of the Carribean’ franchise. He almost died while performing a “human yo-yo” scene. He sustained permanent injuries, which result in him suing Walt Disney for his mishap.

Yes… Two of Her

It might be considered difficult to find a stunt double for Megan Fox, but they managed to find one, and she’s just as foxy. The two were photographed together when talking about making a particular scene. They were on the set of ‘Transformers’ in which Megan landed her first breakout role. This movie led her to more lead roles in movies like ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,’ and ‘Jennifer’s Body.’
