All the Disney Channel Stars: Then and Now

Being a Disney star seems like a dream for most kids. They get to be part of the franchise that created Mickey Mouse, and it can give them a jumpstart to a lifelong career in the entertainment industry. However, Disney does have rules. Considering their audience is young children, Disney Stars have to be on their best behavior at all times to be a good role model. And many Disney stars try to get rid of this carefully crafted Disney image as soon as they leave the network.

Exhibit A: Miley Cyrus. She did a complete 180 and shocked America when she went into a pot-smoking twerking direction. Still, many big celebrities were on Disney once upon a time, and you probably had no idea! Plus, we included some actors you may have forgotten about and seem to have disappeared as soon as their shows ended.

Check out what these Disney Channel stars are up to today. Get ready to feel old!

Hilary Duff

If you were around in the early 2000s, there is no way you don’t remember Lizzie McGuire. She was an awkward and relatable middle school girl played by the one and only Hilary Duff. Duff portrayed the iconic character from 2001-2004 and even released the Lizzie McGuire movie in 2003. She continued to break into movies, including A Cinderella Story, but she seems to have left the spotlight in recent years.

That’s because Hilary is now a mother of two adorable kids, Luca and Banks. In addition to motherhood, the actress is now working on a very special surprise for her fans. That’s right! The Lizzie McGuire reboot is set to premiere later this year (2020). Hilary explains that the show focuses on Lizzie as a 30-year-old living in New York.

Shia LaBeouf

It’s easy to forget that Shia LaBeouf was a Disney star. Remember back in 2000-2003, when Shia starred as the trouble-maker, Louis Steven on Even Stevens? Ah, the good old days. Shia also starred in Holes, another classic Disney film, before everything changed. He was a talented child star, but as he grew up, he wanted to become more of a method actor.

Things went from weird to even more bizarre fairly quickly. Despite starring in the hit Transformers movies, LaBeouf insisted on wearing a brown paper bag over his head that says, ‘I am not famous anymore’ to a red carpet event. After that, he starred in Sia’s controversial music video for Elastic Heart alongside dancer Maddie Ziegler, who was 12 years old at the time. He had a couple acting gigs since, but nothing that memorable. I think it’s safe to say that his good years are behind him.

Raviv Ullman

You may remember him as Ricky Ulman from when he starred as Phil, on Phil of the Future. He was also featured in the Disney film, Pixel Perfect, and he was adorable. I had a huge crush on Ricky Ullman back in the day! However, unlike most of the other people on this list, Raviv seems to have completely vanished after his show ended in 2006.

As you know, being a Disney kid can help jumpstart your career in the entertainment industry. So what happened to Raviv? He took on a few TV roles here and there, but nothing worth noting. Instead, he has been doing some stage work. His career actually began on stage back in the ‘90s, and he had been getting back into the theater more recently. I would love to see him on TV, though.

Emily Osment

Emily Osment is an actress who will forever be remembered as Lilly Truscott, Miley’s best friend on Hannah Montana. She was hilarious, and the two of them together were #BestFriendGoals. When the show ended, it was heartbreaking for viewers and the cast, but Osment continued to work actively in the industry.

As soon as Hannah Montana ended, Osment got the lead role for the film Cyberbully. She showed us that she is more than just a comedic actress, she can play dramatic roles, too. She also focused on a short-lived pop career, but these days she’s going for a softer acoustic sound. She is currently playing the part of Roxy Doyle, a main role on Almost Family.

Christy Carlson Romano

You probably remember Christy Carlson Romano from when she Portrayed Ren Stevens, Louis’s big sister on Even Stevens. However, this girl also played the famous voice on Kim Possible, making her a Disney Channel icon. In 2002, she also starred in Disney’s Cadet Kelly alongside Hilary Duff. Ah… The Golden Age of Disney.

After her Disney days, Romano started to dabble in music. She also continued to work steadily in the entertainment industry, but nothing notable… until 2019. Last year, Christy reprised her voice role in the live-action movie. Although she is still acting, Christy’s number one priority these days is her family. She is married to writer-producer Brenden Rooney, and they have two children together.

Britney Spears

It’s easy to forget that Britney Spears actually got her start on Disney. She now has one of the most famous faces and voices in the world. But there was a time when Britney was an 11-year-old kid on the Mickey Mouse Club. She starred alongside other future stars, including Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera (but we’ll get to them later).

After leaving Disney, Britney went back to normal life for a few years. But when she turned 17, she became a huge pop star and sex symbol who exploded into mainstream popularity. After selling tens of millions of albums, Britney Spears solidified herself as one of the biggest music performers in history. Although her Disney days are long forgotten, she certainly deserves to be on this list.

Kirsten Storms

Right before the 2000s rolled in, Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century was released on Disney Channel. This movie was a classic and even featured Raven Symone. The movie was such a hit that in 2001, Zenon: The Zequel came out, and in 2004, Disney released Zenon: Z3. For the next couple of years, Kristen continued to work for Disney and took on some voice roles.

After Disney Channel, Kirsten Storms found success in soaps and appeared in General Hospital and Days of Our Lives. She even met Brandon Barash (her now ex-husband) on General Hospital. She and Brenden announced the birth of their baby girl, Harper Rose, back in 2014. Her last TV role was back in 2015, but it seems like since she had her baby, family comes first.

Zac Efron

Disney definitely has something to do with the success of Zac Efron. After playing East High’s heartthrob and basketball star, Troy Bolton, everyone knew who Zac Efron was. Before the third High School Musical movie was released, Efron starred in Hairspray, and immediately after, he landed the lead role in 17 Again.

Since then, Efron has been in countless successful movies, including Neighbors, Baywatch, and Dirty Grandpa. However, the actor shocked the world when he portrayed Ted Bundy in the Netflix biopic, Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Vile and Evil. He did an incredible job portraying the serial killer, but it’s clear that he is not working for Disney anymore. He is set to lend his voice to Fred Jones for the upcoming film, Scoob!

Cole Sprouse

Dylan and Cole Sprouse are a staple when it comes to Disney stars. The twins made a name for themselves as Zack and Cody, the blonde trouble makers living in the luxurious Tipton Hotel. Fans fell in love with these twins, so as soon as their show ended, Disney created a spin-off show immediately – The Suite Life on Deck.

Both twins attended college and seemed to have left the spotlight for several years. Cole got his degree in archaeology before surprising fans by returning to TV. I thought his most iconic role was Cody, but now he is known as Jughead in the hit series, Riverdale. Cole has been steadily coming back to acting and appeared in the 2019 movie, Five Feet Apart.

Raven Symone

Raven Symone is a Disney Channel legend. Although she started off on The Cosby Show, which premiered on NBC, she really made a name for herself when Disney gave the star her own show, That’s So Raven from 2003-2007. Her character was a psychic who ended up fulfilling her prophecies by trying to stop them.

She had a main role in the movie Zenon and was a lead character in two of the three Cheetah Girl’s movies. Since then, Raven worked as a host on The View, and more recently, she played Dre’s sister on the sitcom Black-ish. In 2017, Raven gave her fans a treat when she reprised her role as Raven Baxter in the Disney spin-off show, Raven’s Home. The show is currently filming its fourth season.

Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale is another Disney staple; she had two iconic Disney roles. The first was when she played Maddie Fitzpatrick in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and the second was when she portrayed mean girl, Sharpay Evans in High School Musical. Audiences loved Tisdale so much that she even got her own spin-off, Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.

Tisdale also voiced Candace Flynn is Disney’s Phineas and Ferb, and recently reprised her role for the movie. Nowadays, Ashley Tisdale is best friends with her High School Musical co-star, Vanessa Hudgens. She also dabbled in music and has continued to act in movies, such as Playing it Cool and Amateur Night. However, I think it’s safe to say she will be always be remembered for her Disney roles.

Selena Gomez

Selena is arguably one of the most successful and famous singers that came from Disney. She was singing and acting since she was a little girl and even appeared on Barney & Friends, alongside Demi Lovato. But Selena didn’t get her big break until she landed the role of Alex Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place. The show aired from 2007-2012, but Selena had no problem staying in the spotlight after the show wrapped.

Selena had a very public on and off romance with Justin Bieber, and that certainly kept her in the headlines. Selena also opened up about mental health and was an executive producer on Netflix’s hit show 13 Reasons Why. Selena is more focused on music these days, and clearly, she’s killing it.

Justin Timberlake

Justine Timberlake is another huge star who got his start on The Mickey Mouse Club. It’s actually where he met his future and also ex-girlfriend, Britney Spears. After his time on the show, there was no shortage of success for Timberlake. He was the most popular member of the boy band N*SYNC before branching out into a solo career.

In addition to singing and performing, Justin Timberlake crossed over into the acting world. One of his first acting roles was actually in Disney’s Model Behavior back in 2000. Things really do come full circle. He had a very public relationship with Britney Spears, but their breakup was even more publicized. Justin is now married to actress Jessica Biel, and the two have a son named Silas Randall Timberlake.

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus had one of the most iconic roles in the history of Disney Channel when he starred as Miley Stewart in Hannah Montana. Her character lived a double life as a pop star, and watching all the trouble she got into trying to keep her secret was priceless. Her real-life dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, played her dad on the show, but she wasn’t staying daddy’s little girl forever.

Ever since the show ended, it seems like Miley has done everything in her power to shed her good-girl Disney image. Who can forget the time when she twerked with Robin Thicke at the VMAs? Thankfully, she seems to have toned it down since her Bangerz days. Miley recently got divorced from Liam Hemsworth after a marriage that lasted less than a year.

Zendaya is easily recognized as a superstar these days, but do you remember back when she was on Disney? She starred on the show Shake It Up alongside Bella Thorne, where she got to show off her dancing chops. In 2015, Disney cast her again to play the main role in K.C. Undercover, which only ended a couple of years ago in 2018.

In 2013, Zendaya was the youngest person to compete in Dancing with the Stars and did an incredible job. After Disney, Zendaya landed a role in Spider-Man: Homecoming and who can forget when Barbie released a doll modeled after her! Zendaya also starred in The Greatest Showman beside fellow ex-Disney star, Zac Efron. She’s now taking her talents to the hit HBO show Euphoria.

Mitchel Musso

Wow. Mitchel Musso is a name I haven’t heard in a while. I loved watching him play Oliver on Hannah Montana, but I haven’t seen much of him since. He did have a voice role on Disney’s Fineas and Ferb, but that’s basically it. His portrayal of Oliver could have led to a successful acting career, but his career stall was his own fault.

Photo by Picture Perfect, Shutterstock / Source: IMDB

Reportedly, Musso was arrested for a DUI immediately after the show wrapped, and Disney didn’t like his “bad boy” behavior. Not only was his blood-alcohol level “well over” the legal limit of .08, but Musso was just 20 years old at the time – he wasn’t even legally allowed to drink. After an acting break, Musso appeared in a movie called Bachelor Lion in 2018 (I never heard of it).

Jake Thomas

You may not remember Jake Thomas by name, but you will definitely recognize his face. That’s right. It’s Lizzie McGuire’s little brother, Matt! He has certainly grown up since playing the mischievous little boy I remember. He does still have that baby face, but I must say, age did him well. He is 28 years old now and looking good.

Although he has been a little under the radar, Jake is still currently acting. You probably saw him on NCIS, CSI, and Criminal Minds, wondering why he looks so familiar. Although he hasn’t really had any notable roles since Matt, he is set to reprise his role in the upcoming Lizzie McGuire reboot. I personally cannot wait to see Jake on screen and see what little Matt has been up to.

Christina Aguilera

Just like Justin, Britney, and Ryan, Christina Aguilera got to showcase her talent on The Mickey Mouse Club. After leaving the show in 1995, Christina Aguilera reemerged around the same time as Britney Spears did. Although both singers claim there was no beef between them, the media pinned them up against each other because of their similar persona.

Her 1999 self-titled album reached number one in the charts, and her single, Genie in a Bottle, made Christina a star. She had a long and impressive solo career and is still killing it today. She is known to have one of the most powerful voices of our generation. She worked as a judge on The Voice and has a tour planned for later this year (2020).

Corbin Bleu

Corbin Bleu was kind of a big deal during the High School Musical era. He had a big role, and audiences loved it! As a result, Disney decided to cast him as the lead in their film, Jump In. Corbin portrayed Izzy, a boxer who is embarrassed by the fact that he started jump-roping competitively. Now that I think about it, the plot is very similar to High School Musicals.

Photo by Disney, Kobal, Shutterstock / Paul Zimmerman, Shutterstock

After Disney Channel, Corbin appeared on several shows, including One Life to Live, Drop Dead Diva, The Middle, and Dancing with the Stars. The reason why you haven’t seen much of this talented actor lately is because he found great success on Broadway. He has two movies in post-production, and I’m looking forward to seeing him on my screen again!

Orlando Brown

Orlando Brown’s only memorable role to date is when he portrayed Eddie Thomas, on Disney’s That’s So Raven. He really hasn’t been in much after the show ended in 2007. Since his time on the Disney Channel, Brown has had a number of run-ins with the law, so we can see why Disney didn’t mind letting him go.

In 2018, Brown was arrested after the police broke up an argument with his girlfriend and her mother. It didn’t take long for them to find an active arrest warrant for alleged battery, possession of a controlled substance, and resisting arrest. He later opened up to Dr. Phil about it. Oh, and he was credited as “block dude” in Straight Outa Campton, so I think it’s safe to say, he peeked on Disney.

Alyson Michalka

Aly and AJ Michalka were Disney sisters who would often sing together for Disney, but Aly started acting back in the ‘90s. Audiences quickly fell in love with the curly-haired blonde, who in 2004, landed the role of Keely Teslow, Phil’s best friend on Phil of the Future. Disney capitalized on the popularity and had Aly star alongside her sister in the film, Cow Belles, in 2006.

Aly continued to pursue her acting career, and it’s been pretty successful. She starred in movies, such as Easy A and Grown Ups 2. She also made appearances in TV shows, including Hellcats and Two and a Half Men. She also had a nice music stint releasing three studio albums. Aly is now happily married to director Stephen Ringer. If your wondering, her sister AJ is currently portraying Lainey Lewis in Schooled.

Brenda Song

Brenda Song will forever be London Tipton in the hearts of America. She started off her iconic role on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody before continuing it in the spin-off, The Suite Life on Deck. During her time on Disney, the channel took advantage of her talent. She was cast in the film, Stuck in the Suburbs and Wendy Wu: Homecoming warrior.

While she was still working for Disney, she had a small role on The Social Network and has been actively acting since. She guest-starred on New Girl, Scandal, and Superstore. More recently, Brenda was the lead in Netflix’s Secret Obsession. She now has a main role on Hulu’s Dollface, opposite Shay Mitchell and Kat Dennings.

Debby Ryan

Similarly to Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, we first met Debby Ryan on Barney. But her career as a child star began in 2006 when she landed the role of Bailey Pickett on The Suite Life on Deck. As soon as the show ended, Disney immediately cast her as the lead in Jessie, which aired from 2011-2015. She also tried to pursue music with her band, The Never Ending.

In 2016, people were shocked when Debbie was arrested and charged with a DUI. She has since apologized and focused on her acting career. Her most recent role is Patty Bladell on the hit Netflix comedy, Insatiable. She is set to play Nikki in the upcoming 2020 film, Horse Girl. In personal news, Debbie got engaged to Josh Dun in 2018.

Demi Lovato

After appearing on Barney, Demi worked her way up the Disney Channel ladder. She was first cast in As the Bell Rings, which aired on Disney Channel during commercial breaks. She then landed her iconic role as Mitchie in Camp Rock and was also cast as Sonny, on Sonny with a Chance. In recent interviews, Demi revealed that she landed both roles at the same time. She continued to work with Disney and released a movie called Princess Protection Program, alongside her ex-BFF, Selena Gomez.

After her time on The Disney Channel, Demi experimented with drugs, battled eating disorders, and spent time in rehab. She has opened up about drug use and mental health and tries to use her platform to promote body positivity.

David Henrie

From 2004-2007, David Henrie played the role of Larry in That’s So Raven. But by 2007, he was famous for his role as Justin Russo, Alex’s big brother on Wizards of Waverly Place. If you watched How I met Your Mother, Henrie played Ted Mosby’s son from 2005-2014. Since his time as a child star, Henrie made guest appearances on shows like Arrested Development.

Photo by Disney Channel, Kobal, Shutterstock / Mediapunch, Shutterstock

David Henrie continued his acting career and was in Paul Bart: Mall Cop 2 and Little Boy. Unfortunately, he also got in trouble a couple of times. Once he was arrested at the Los Angeles International Airport for having a handgun, and another time, he was detailed for supposedly challenging someone to a fight. He is now married to Maria Cahill, former Miss Delaware, and the couple has a daughter together.

Vanessa Hudgens

When it comes to Classic Disney movies, High School Musical is definitely up there. The movie was such a hit that it got two sequels (and a spin-off focused on Sharpay). Vanessa Hudgens, who played Gabriella was a stand-out, and Hudgens appeared to have a long career ahead of her. Unfortunately, nothing came close to the success of High School Musical.

Vanessa Hudgens in High School Musical in 2007. / Vanessa Hudgens at the West Side Story musical opening night in 2020.

Vanessa started pursuing a music career. She tried to shed her good-girl image when he starred in Spring Breakers, alongside fellow Disney star, Selena Gomez. She continued to act and worked on several Holiday movies with Netflix. Her most recent movie was in the 2020s The Princess Switch: Switched Again.

Jake T. Austin

Here is a fun fact about Jake T. Austin. Did you know he was the voice of Diego on Nickelodeon’s Dora The Explorer spin-off, Go Diego! Go!? However, his face wasn’t well-known until Disney Channel cast him as Max Russo, the youngest sibling in the wizard family on Wizards of Waverly Place. He was adorable on the show, but he grew up quite a bit since. He is 25 years old now!

After his time on Disney, the actor found success as Jesus Adams Foster on The Fosters from 2013-2015. Sadly but unsurprisingly, the same year he started the show, Austin got a DUI, and according to TMZ, one month later, he was named in a hit and run. His most recent projects include the animated film Peter Pan and Land of Forever.

Jason Earles

Jason Earles had a few roles before he started playing Jackson on Hannah Montana. We know him as Miley’s obnoxious yet endearing big brother. The on-screen siblings had their fair share of fights, but at the end of the day, they loved each other. Although he played a high school student, Jason Earls was 28 years old when Hannah Montana premiered! That means he was well into his thirties when the show ended.

Jason Earles is probably the oldest “child” star on this list. Despite his age, he continued to work with Disney and starred in Kickin’ It after Hannah Montana ended. He had to leave Disney at some point, considering he is 42 years old now. In 2017, he married his longtime girlfriend, Katie Drysen.

Móises Arias

Móises Arias appeared in an episode of The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, and he must have really impressed Disney executives. Shortly after, he was cast as evil little Rico on Hannah Montana. Even though his character was the antagonist, he brought a lot of comic relief to the already funny show. While Hannah Montana was airing, Disney gave the actor some guest appearances on other Disney shows.

After his time on Disney, Arias appeared in the movies The Kings of Summer and Five Feet Apart. He had recurring roles on TV shows like The Middle and Jean-Claude Van Johnson. Móises calls himself an artist on Instagram and seems to be working as a professional photographer for celebs, including Hailey Bieber and Jayden Smith.

Adam Lamberg

Adam Lamberg’s biggest role is David “Gordo” Gordon, Lizzie’s adorkable best friend on Lizzie McGuire. Unlike many other child stars who continued to pursue a career in the entertainment industry, Lamberg managed to stay out of the spotlight. He played Gordo for the last time in The Lizzie McGuire Movie, and after that, he kind of disappeared.

Since Lizzie, he has roles in When Do We Eat? And Beautiful Loser. Other than that, no one has seen much of him. According to his LinkedIn page, he had a degree in geography before attending Baruch College to get his Masters of Public Administration. He lives a quiet life now, but he is set to appear in the Lizzie McGuire reboot, and I can’t wait to see him.

Ryan Gosling

This Canadian heartthrob debuted his adorable smile on the Mickey Mouse Club. Apparently, during the time on the show, he stayed with Justin Timberlake’s family, and reportedly, Justin’s mom was his legal guardian. He has since admitted that he was a bit of a troublemaker and would occasionally get cut out of skits. Well, things seem to have worked out for him.

Gosling’s big break came in 2004 when he starred as Noah Calhoun in The Notebook. After that, his career just skyrocketed, and he became America’s favorite heartthrob. He has appeared in numerous movies since but his most recent role was in First Man, where he plays Neil Armstrong. He is married to Eva Mendez, and they have two beautiful daughters.

Dylan Sprouse

Dylan Sprouse played Zack alongside his brother in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. But you might recognize them as Julian, in Adam Sandler’s Big Daddy, they shared that role. However, no matter how you spin it, these guys are iconic in the Disney world, acting in two successful shows for the network. Dylan played Zack for the last time in 2011 and then went off to college.

He took a hiatus from acting and studied Video Game Design at NYU, which sounds like a really interesting field. After a long break, Dylan returned to Hollywood in 2017 and starred in Dismissed. He has three other films in the works. Maybe he will make a cameo in Riverdale, but I’m still hoping for a Suite Life reboot!

Kyle Massey

Kyle Massey is remembered for his role as Corey Baxter, Raven’s annoying little brother on That’s So Raven. After the show ended, Kyle reprised his role in the short-lived spin-off, Cory in the House. During his time with the network, Kyle starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie, Life is Ruff and had a voice role in Fish Hooks. Other than that, he pretty much left Disney as soon as he grew up.

He hasn’t had any notable acting roles since his time on Disney, but Kyle was more interested in pursuing a music career. Unfortunately, his music stalled until 2016. You can now find some of his original music on SoundCloud. He also competed in season 11 of Dancing with the Stars and made it pretty far.

Ross Lynch

Ross Lynch made his Austin and Ally debut in 2011. Since Disney likes to use their already popular actors in their original movies, Lynch was cast in Teen Beach Movie. Of course, he made guest appearances in other Disney shows, including Jessie and Girl Meets World. In 2017, Ross really left his Disney image behind when he starred in the film, My Friend Dahmer.

Similar to his fellow Disney star Zac Efron, Lynch also played a serial killer. He did an incredible job portraying Jeffery Dahmer, but just the thought of that movie is haunting. He is currently starring on Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Since the show is based on Disney’s Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, I think we can say things came full circle for Ross too.

Skai Jackson

Skai Jackson is easily recognized from her role as Zuri Ross on Jessie and Bunk’d. She was just nine years old when she first appeared on Jessie, which is why it’s hard to believe that she is 17 now! They really grow up quick… She appeared as Zuri on several other Disney shows up until 2015, when Jessie was canceled.

Since her time on Disney, Skai has become a YouTube star. She has also been keeping busy doing some animated voiceover work. In addition to acting, Skai used to model and has also been trying to pursue music. She is young and talented, so the future looks bright for Skai… as long as she doesn’t follow the child star path and stays out of trouble!

Kimberly J. Brown

Kimberly J. Brown is another Disney star who you may not know by name, but you definitely recognize her face. Most people remember her as Marnie Piper from the spooky classic Halloweentown movies. However, I recognize her from my favorite Disney Channel movie of all time – Quints! Who remembers that one? As the oldest of five kids, I could relate!

Although she had a couple of minor roles, Kimberly hasn’t done much-acting work since Halloweentown High in 2004. Apparently, she was busy in college, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Good for her! She is now in a relationship with Daniel Kountz, her Halloweentown II: Kalabar’s Revenge co-star. She doesn’t seem all that interested in acting anymore and seems perfectly happy and content.

Tia Mowry

Who doesn’t love a story about identical twins separated at birth? Tia and Tamara got to play these vivacious twins on the hit Disney show, Sister Sister. Tia and Tamara both attended Malibu College to study twin psychology. After receiving their degrees, Disney gave us more of these Sassy twins in the movie Twitches. It was such a hit that Disney created a sequel for the girls, Twitches 2.

Ever since her Disney days, Tia has been killing it. She has a cooking channel on YouTube, where you can see her two precious babies. She also released a parenting book! It’s a fun read, focused on food and babies. She has been continuously working in the industry and is currently starring as Cocoa McKellan on Family Reunion.

Tamera Mowry

Tamera Mowry is the other half of our favorite Disney twins. She starred alongside her sister in Disney projects, including Sister Sister and Twitches. The girls have since admitted that it was much easier to get roles as children because twins are rare, or at least they were 20 years ago. These days they are pursuing separate acting careers.

Now Tamara is an Emmy-award winning talk show host! That right. When she’s not busy with her husband and adorable kids, you can find her on The Real. Just like her sister, Tamara has been steadily working as an actress. Her most recent role was in 2019’s A Christmas Miracle. The bad news is that its 2020, and there is no Sister reboot yet!

Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan was the adorable freckled face who played both Annie and Halley in Disney’s hit ‘90s film, The Parent Trap. She immediately impressed the audience by portraying twins! That’s a difficult task for a professional adult actor, let alone a kid. Lindsay’s talent was inevitable, and she had a long successful career ahead of her.

Disney cast her in several more movies, including, Life-Size, Get a Clue, Herbie: Fully Loaded, Confessions of a Teenager Drama Queen, and Freaky Friday. She then starred in Mean Girls before slowly going off the rails. I’m not going to get into it, but it’s sad to see someone with so much talent and potential waste it. After her MTV reality show bombed in 2019, she’s been trying to get back into acting.
